What Is Diaper Need?

Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and healthy, and it’s a reality in our city. There are over 16,000 diaper-wearing children in the Greater Cincinnati area experiencing diaper need each month. At an average rate of six diapers per day per child (and more than double that for newborns), diaper-wearing children in poverty in the United States require more than 5.8 billion diapers annually to keep them clean, dry and healthy. For this reason, we started the only diaper bank serving the entire Greater Cincinnati area to fill the diaper need gap in our community. By assisting families during what can be one of the most challenging times in a parent’s life, we’re working to build a strong community for the future.

We rely on the help of numerous local volunteers to get our diapers out the door every month and onto the bottoms of the babies who need them. Group Volunteers

We can organize a 2-3 hour private volunteer event for your work, school or social group. Wrapping diapers is a great team-building activity!
